Police appeal for witnesses of road traffic accident
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man has been left with severe personal injuries following a road traffic accident in South Norfolk.
The man, who is in his 50s, was flown to hospital after his Honda VFR motorcycle came off the road and crashed into a tree. The biker sustained life changing injuries in the accident, including head and spinal injuries as well as limb fractures.
Due to the severity of the victim's injuries an air ambulance was required to immobilise his spine and anaesthetise the man before flying him to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
Fortunately two people passing-by stopped at the scene of the accident and gave first aid to the victim after calling for an ambulance. They remained with the victim throughout the ordeal until he was airlifted to hospital.
An officer from Wymondham Road Policing is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information concerning the road traffic accident to find out what may have caused the incident and who is liable.
