The man sustained serious injuries including fractures to his hip, arm, shoulder and ribs. He also suffered a severe pelvic injury as well as a pulmonary embolism.
The court in Leeds received documents stating that the self-employed man has struggled to carry out normal duties due to the injuries sustained, which is impacting his business as an electrician.
The papers also stated that the driver of the car has admitted liability for the incident due to negligent driving.

If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
