Accident compensation may be claimed by two people injured in a collision between a car and a motorbike in Moray.
The car accident occurred when a motorbike collided with a 4x4 vehicle on an unmarked road between Portgordon and Spey Bay.
The 51-year-old motorbike rider was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by an RAF helicopter where his injuries are believed to be serious.
His female pillion passenger was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin after suffering multiple fractures in the road traffic collision.
Sgt Chris Welan of Grampian Police's road policing unit at Elgin said, "The collision involved a motorcycle with a Dutch rider and a pillion passenger colliding head on with a 4x4 style motor car."
Witnesses to the accident are being asked to contact Grampian Police to help them further their investigation.
It has not been reported if any accident compensation is likely to be sought by the injured motorbikers.
