Accident compensation may be sought after three cars collided on the northbound carriageway of the A1.
A white Mercedes Sprinter van, a Renault Kangoo van, and a black Seat Altea were all involved in the collision which left the carriageway between junctions six and seven blocked for most of the morning.
Miraculously, none of the passengers were seriously injured in the crash and no one required hospital treatment.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened at 8:40am on Friday May 7.
The cause of the car crash has yet to be determined but it is likely that car accident compensation claims will be made after liability has been determined.
