Did you know that nine people die on our roads everyday? The government have proposed a road safety agenda to diminish the number of people that suffer personal injuries and fatalities in vehicle accidents by 2010. They also rely on already established measures to try and decrease road accident rates in Britain, some of which are outlined below:
Enforcing speed limits: national speed limits have been put in place in urban areas, on motorways and in other places prone to vehicle accidents to try and drastically decrease accident rates in the UK. Speed cameras are also used to encourage motorists to keep within the speed limits, threatening the penalty of a hefty fine or points on your licence if you are snapped while speeding.
Combating drink driving: the police are conducting more and more random breath tests on our roadsides, especially after last orders and at the weekends, in an effort to catch those that are driving or motorcycling under the influence. Some pubs and clubs even distribute free drinks to designated drivers to discourage people from drinking and driving and cut down the amount of vehicle accidents.
Increasing awareness: we intermittently receive advertising campaigns designed to increase our road safety awareness via the television, cinema and bill board posters. The Think! campaigns are probably the most notable, reminding us of how to prevent motorcycle accidents, car accidents and other vehicle accidents with incredible impact.
Making a claim following a vehicle accident
If you are unfortunate enough to have been involved in a non-fault vehicle accident then we may be able to help.
If you have suffered a personal injury that has been so painful that you have had to take unpaid time off work, you could make a personal injury claim for loss of earnings.
You could also claim compensation for any medical costs you have incurred and we will even try and find you the best medical care available in your area. We want you to get back on the road to recovery as soon as possible.
We have a no win no fee policy and will take great care to protect you from all costs, yours and the other party's.
*A replacement vehicle can usually be supplied within 4-6 working hours, where there is an admission of liability from the other person’s insurance company. If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
