What does no win, no fee really mean?
With many claims handling companies, the term no win no fee can be misleading. Very often their
solicitor is willing to represent on this basis, providing his client is willing to take out, and pay for, a hefty
insurance policy in case the claim does not succeed.
We’re different
We’re different, and we believe that it is very important that our clients understand exactly what no win no
fee means, and the implications there might be for them.
Protecting you whatever the outcome
Firstly, in essence, no win no fee relates to the situation where a compensation claim is not upheld by the Court
– is unsuccessful in other words. The consequence of this used to be that the injured person was liable to pay
all of the solicitor’s costs, both theirs and the other side’s.
Always acting in your best interests
For many, many people this could be financially devastating and lives were, quite literally, ruined. Our no win no
fee scheme is specifically designed to prevent the possibility of this happening – we feel that our clients
have the right to know that we are acting in their best interests at all times, even if the outcome of the case is
not what we’d mutually hoped for.
Excellent success rate
It’s important to stress that, given that we win many of all our cases, we never bring a case expecting to
lose. But it’s a sensible precaution to protect against the possibility of this happening. Therefore, at the
commencement of your no win no fee case we take out an insurance policy which covers our costs in case your claim
is not successful.
If your case does not succeed
Unlike a great many companies, we pay the premium for this policy ourselves. If your case does not win, this policy
will cover not only your solicitors fees but also those of the other side. In addition it will also reimburse us for
the cost of the premium itself. So you are fully protected by no win no fee from having to meet these costs yourself.
Keep every penny of your compensation
And when we win your case, no win no fee means that you’ll be able to keep each and every penny of the
compensation that the Court has awarded you. We won’t make any deductions at all.
