Singer Marc Almond is lending his support to a motorcycle accident safety campaign in Gloucestershire. The Soft Cell star was injured in a motorcycle accident with a car near St Paul's Cathedral, London, last October.
Almond said he was lucky to survive the motorcycle accident and wants to make everyone aware of how devastating they can be. A spokesman for Gloucestershire County Council said they hoped the star's endorsement would help raise awareness.
A bike has been covered with the Think! logo to remind drivers to take care on the roads. "Only 2% of road users are motorcyclists, yet they account for 18% of casualties on the road," the spokesman said.
"We want to help motorcyclists deal with things they encounter on the roads and not become a statistic."
